It was good to put some names to faces. I also thoroughly enjoyed my start as Chief Instructor when teaching and testing at the rally at Tetworth. I was very pleased with the high standard of the D+ candidates - it shows all the training has paid off! I am really looking forward to the rest of the summer and Camp. RIA JEFFREY... 19 April. What a fantastic day on Sunday for the Combined Training Event at Yew Tree Farm. Dear Wendy, Thank you so much to you and all your team for running such a successful event yesterday. It was a wonderful opportunity for all ages to get out there a do some dressage and jumping in a beautiful location. There was a lovely atmosphere created mainly as the event was so well organized - it all ran so smoothly. Well done and thanks for letting us join in at the last minute! MICHELLE AND LAURA PERKINS (PUCKERIDGE HUNT PC)... 19 April. Dear Wendy, Just to say thank you once again for a really lovely day. Lottie and I agreed that it was definitely the best of the holidays. Judging by the comments I heard everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you for the wonderful memories! EMILY AND LOTTIE ... 19 April. Thank you to everybody who helped with yesterday's Combined Training competition at Harlton. There was a lovely atmosphere and all the stewards were cheerful and supportive of all the competitors. Two people from other branches commented to me how efficiently it was organised and what a lovely location. Thank you to the Banks family for the use of their land. Hattie and I enjoyed a gentle outing with the new horse and I will try to make sure I find the correct dressage test to learn in future!!! Can you sack your mother?! SARAH ALGAR... 9 April. Well done to all those who competed in our final Winter League Dressage last weekend. See Results. My particular congratulations go to Amelia Peak, who won the Most Improved Trophy: Amelia went from a harrassed retirement from her first test back in November, to some very respectable scores and placings last Saturday. This is what Dressage is really all about - training and improving. Well done to all of you who supported the Winter League - indeed you have all progressed throughout and we are really proud of you. Roll on Area Dressage! GEORGIE HORRELL... 7 April. We would like to add our thanks to those posting notes of thanks to Jackie Hall - she certainly deserves thanks after all the years of dedicated work that she put in. Thank you to all of you who have taken the time to send messages of support, emails, cards, gifts and the like following my recent departure from the branch. All were very much appreciated. Please forgive me if I have not contacted you personally yet, but having been forced to retire has allowed me the time to consider a new business; this in addition to my current house renovation has left me busier than ever!! I do promise to catch up with you all soon. Congratulations to Sue Tydeman on her recent appointment, I know she will make a wonderful DC. As always, best wishes to all members for the coming PC year. JACKIE HALL ... 26 Jan. The McKenna family would like to thank Jackie for everything she did as DC. We first joined Pony Club in 1995 when Charlotte was 9. Jackie was always there, helping with everything - mainly showjumping in those days. Her knowledge and advice were invaluable, and she was always available when we were unsure. Jackie has worked tirelessly in her roles as Showjumping Manager, Assistant DC, and DC and we can't thank her enough for her total commitment to the Cambridgeshire Pony Club. Jackie, you will be a hard act to follow and greatly missed. TORY, CHARLOTTE, BEN ( rather half-hearted about riding for a couple of years!) HARRIET, and TARA ... 25 Jan. Goodbye from the Bensons! We had so much fun, and have so many people to thank. Thanks to Jackie for her unwavering support right from our very first rally. The instructors are too many to mention (the special ones know who they are!), and Wendy, Andrew and Pip, in addition to the committee, work so incredibly hard for these youngsters, helping to make memories. We wouldn't have missed it for the world. We have had one or other child in Pony Club since 1995 - it is with great sadness that this memorable phase has come to an end! We hack about the village, and Bodie - now 34 - joins us off-road from time to time! This season we are not able to hunt, but I'm sure we'll see people out and about from time to time, and catch up. I will be reading the website regularly and wish the Branch every success. LYN BENSON ... Please pass on our best wishes to Jackie and thank her for all the hard work that she has put in. DI, KATHERINE, REBECCA, LOTTIE and AMY MCKENZIE ... Farewell Jackie! Good luck to you Jackie! You have put in such an enormous
amount of work, energy and enthusiasm over the years and I know you
will be missed.
